TREES TALK, CRY AND THEY SING

SCIENCE PROVES THE BIBLE:  TREES TALK, CRY AND SING!    tree smiles

580 words                                                                                             – Mary A.  LaClair

A physicist, Ed Wagner from Grant’s Pass, Oregon has determined that trees talk; that they actually put out cries of alarm when other trees are being cut down. (from AP 2/8-9/89)

Zechariah 11:2 says:  ‘Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; howl, oaks of Bashan for the forest of the vintage is come down.”                       tree smiling

The physicist claims trees “talk” in signals called “W” waves”.  His chart recorded blips of adjacent trees sending out cries of alarm when a neighboring tree was being felled in the forest.  The tree being felled put out a tremendous cry of alarm which was also recorded. (AP Feb ’89) Science proves Zechariah true!

In 1966, Cleve Backster, a Police Lie Detector expert, and former interrogation specialist for the CIA discovered that plants also record tracings similar to those of a human subject experiencing emotion.

What he wrote filled a book titled THE SECRET LIFE OF PLANTS.  Several scientists since have felt that Backster’s reports were due to faulty technique and equipment.  Readers Digest of Feb. 1973 did a reprint on page 151 from the Baltimore Sunday Sun on Backster’s findings.     tree happy

This information stirred anew in me while reading a much more recent book (pub.1995) titled HOW TO ARGUE AND WIN EVERY TIME by internationally renown Attorney Gerry Spence. In this book Attorney Spence talks of defending Imelda Marcos but he also talks of the famous case concerning the spotted owl.  It was in this case that Mr. Spence brought to the stand a lumberjack whose job was on the line, and whose argument the famous attorney was trying to shift slightly so that a winning argument could be made.  When Mr. Spence had finished questioning him, the lumberjack was recorded as saying: “Actually I don’t like cutting those big old trees.  I hate hearing them fall.  Sounds like they’re crying all the way down.”  (page 91)

I had called the physicist in Oregon back in 1989, only making contact with an answering machine, to which there was no reply. The physicist claims trees “talk” in signals called “W” waves”.   click either of these links in blue to see his site   http://www.darkmatterwaves.com/Edbio.html

More recently, I wrote Attorney Spence, who graciously sent a handwritten reply thanking me, saying that he found the revelations most interesting.

Those who believe these theories of trees having emotion are in good company, for the prophet Isaiah (dated B.C.) says “…break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every TREE in it!” (Is.44:23) and also “…The mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you and all the TREES of the field shall clap their hands.” (Is. 55:12)                        tree smiles

The psalmist (also B.C.) tells us “The mountains and hills will burst into singing, and the TREES will shout for joy,….This will be a sign that will last forever…”  Ps 96:12[1]

If Science has proven that trees cry, science has proven the Bible true yet again, for certainly if they cry, then they can rejoice and clap and sing!  No doubt we will hear it when Jesus comes again, if not some people before!

Every word of God proves true!  (Matt 5:18 {2} …not one jot…etc)

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, the wonders HE has prepared for those who love Him…! “ (1 Corinthians 2:9) [3]

If you would like to perceive even more fun, then compare Joshua 24:27[4], Luke 19:40[5] and Luke 3:8….[6] (<:   …which talk about what rocks do…

One might also like to see the video on Quantum Physics with the exact title: “What The Bleep Do We Know?” and listen and watch for the part about the drops of water changing as man speaks or thinks.  It may not be for everyone, and is mind boggleing to some; nevertheless I mention it here for those studious engineers or wannabes.

Certainly it is true EYE HAS NOT SEEN NOR EAR HEARD THE WONDERS GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM !

  1. Thank you posting
I come from Cherokee decent, and we have always been taught to offer something for a fallen tree and to not cut or hurt the trees.

A prophet told me that the trees speak and sings to God almight the creator.
And that man has authority over them.
That when we command it to wilt or near fruit in the name of the Lord it will do as commanded.

    • Thank you for your kind reply. It resonates the story of when Jesus commanded the fig tree to bear fruit no more, and it died at the roots the next day or so. Matthew 21:18-22 and Mark 1112-14, 20-25. In the Bible, in Genesis, the opening book of the Bible, God gives mankind authority over the earth. (Genesis 1:26-28 Perhaps we should learn to properly use that authority more often… Thanks for the further food for thought.
P.S. At a festival, I happened to meet a man with an old dog. Having talked a bit with him about his dog, I gave him a card which mentions another article on this site: DO DOGS GO TO HEAVEN, and told him he would see his old dog again in heaven if he was going to be there, to which he replied in this way. “I am Native American Indian, and we are taught that when we die, we will ride a white horse”. He was of the Bear Clan of the Oneidas, I believe.
That statement stopped me in my tracks because after my husband was taken, I have since pictured him riding a big white horse across the sky. (he was an excellent horseman, as are my children and some grandchildren) He was also part Native American Indian, having had an Indian Great Grandmother.

  2. As i read this.. the city is cutting down the trees along my parking lot. Blue spruce, Aspen, and Birch. Healthy young and vibrant. I did a google search for ” why do i cry when the trees are cut”.. and i do. I don’t want to be in the city any more…

    • Bonnie: They do produce shade and clean the air; but are there branches which could come down on cars in the lot when there are heavy snows or strong winds? Tree roots can also raise and crack the surface of the lot, creating liability if one trips over the damaged pavement.
I understand your feelings. My son removed a tree which was breaking up the patio at poolside, but doing so probably saved many scrapes, bruises or broken limbs of children.
While the trees are important, people are MORE important.
Thanks for your reply and thanks for feeling. Are you a gardener? I’ll bet you have a green thumb. Perhaps you are recognizing a ‘calling’ to be a horticulturist??
      Blessings to you…
